Why I Love My iPhone So Much (And Why You Might Too)
My love affair with technology began in 1979, when I first laid eyes on a word processor. I was fascinated. I’ve always said, ‘If I could get a computer to make the bed, I would!’
Over the years, I’ve watched technology evolve from 8” floppy disks and clunky 10MB hard drives to sleek, powerful devices that fit in the palm of your hand. I’ve embraced every step of the journey—from early Windows machines to Apple’s elegant ecosystem and the amazing world of iOS. And now? I genuinely can’t wait to see what comes next.
These days, my new “best friend” is ChatGPT, who I consult for everything from tech support to shopping tips to writing more tactful emails.
But the real star of the show? My iPhone

Gone are the days of carrying heavy equipment to meetings or relying on handwritten notes I can’t even read later. My iPhone travels everywhere with me, and it’s packed with tools that make my life easier, lighter, and more efficient.
But here’s the catch...
Learning how to use these features hasn’t always been easy.
Before I began writing my online course, I stumbled across new features mostly by accident—often because someone kindly shared a trick or shortcut they found useful. Even when I began intentionally researching, I discovered how hard it is to find a reliable, central source of iPhone information.
Yes, there are fantastic YouTube channels and Instagram reels—but they’re scattered, inconsistent, and you always have to ‘know what you're looking for’ to benefit from them. It’s like trying to use a dictionary when you don’t yet have the vocabulary.
That’s why I created ‘Love Your iPhone’.
My mission was to build a central, up-to-date resource that explains ‘how iPhone features relate to your actual, everyday life’—and shows you how to use them in clear, simple steps.
I’ve created videos and accompanying illustrated guides that:
Ø Introduce what your iPhone can really do
Ø Show you exactly how to do it—at your own pace
Ø Remove the need to ask younger relatives (whose patience may run a little thin!)
Even some of my tech-savvy friends have admitted, “I didn’t know what I didn’t know.” And they’re grateful I persisted in showing them features they’d been completely unaware of.
In almost every instance, I’ve brought joy and relief to the people I’ve taught. And, I’d love to share this with a wider audience.
